Details:
On a green Weymouth pitch, Phil Holland bowled a devastating spell to pave the way for a Swanage victory. Holland came on in the twenty-fifth over with the score at 88 - 3. Obtaining swing in the air and disconcerting movement in both directions off the pitch, he proceeded to bowl six of the remaining seven batsmen for twenty two runs in only 8.2 overs. Only High Lawes provided serious resistance in a watchful innings which held the early batting together.
Craig Wells got the Swanage innings off to a dashing start with some classical strokeplay all round the wicket. His fellow opener, Nick Clark, then took over with some excellent back foot driving. Anton Howse helped Clark to see Swanage to an easy win in the thirtieth over, thus gaining the maximum twenty points.

Details:
After being put in by Bournemouth, Swanage limped to 22 - 4, with John Gray’s accurate bowling doing most of the damage. Wickets kept falling but a determined ninth wicket partnership between Roger Wilcox and Ben Churchill put on 50 crucial runs. Then Wilcox add a further 14 with Dave Puckett, which enabled Swanage to use up all their overs.
Impressive bowling from Ryan Norman and skipper Ron Barker reduced Bournemouth to 23 - 5. John Gray and John Hook led a recovery to take the score to 62 but the guile of Roger Wilcox and Peter Kirby was too much for Bournemouth’s lower order as they took the last five wickets to win the match for Swanage with seven overs to spare.
