Details:

Cheselbourne bowlers knocked the Swanage batsmen over with hostile bowling on an artificial pitch of very variable bounce. Tony Kelloway bowled his outswingers with skill to gain the outstanding analysis of 12-3-17-6 while A.Legg (1-16) bowled a quick spell at the other end. Later, off spinner, Graham Kelloway chipped in with three wickets. Opener Ron Barker defied the bowlers for some time but only Ben Churchill and Jonathan Maidman shaped well in a poor Swanage batting display.

Ron Barker gave Swanage hope when he removed both openers with the score at 6 but the Swanage bowlers were less accurate than those of the home side. A.Legg and R.Kelloway took Cheselbourne to an overwhelming victory in the sixteenth over.
