When we entered the 90's it was clear that the "Old Army Huts" had served their time.

It took so much of our effort to keep the old pavilion in good order that many of our batting and bowling performances were suffering. So inspired by our President, John Burt, in the early 90's the committee started to raise funds to replace the "Old Hut" with something a little better to take the club into the Y2K.
In 1997 we finally saw the results of our efforts, having secured grants from "The National Lottery" and "Foundation for Sports and the Arts" and with considerable help from members and friends of Swanage Cricket Club, in September 1997 we opended our "New Pavilion". The photo below shows the Club on that day.
