Details:
S.Ridley and J.Bethune got the hundred up in twenty three
overs for Bournemouth in a useful partnership before Wells
caught and bowled Bethune. Again the Swanage bowlers and
fielders were generous to the opposition with extras, with
most of the final total of 50 being in the early overs.
However Craig Wells pegged back Bournemouth with a fine
spell of off spin bowling, conceding only 39 runs in his
twelve overs and dismissing three more batsmen. Richard
Scott played some classy drives for Bournenmouth as he
masterminded the tail but at tea Swanage felt that they were
in with a chance.
Craig Wells attacked the bowling strongly but the other
top batsmen failed to support with only James Harris looking
the part . However, Richard Scott bowled a dangerous spell
of fast medium outswing, conceding only 24 runs in his
twelve overs and bowling Harris. Wells played some superb
strokes in another fine innings but he and the lower order
were left with too much to do as Swanage fell 29 runs short.
