Studlands bowlers maintained a
disciplined line and length, making
scoring hard for the Swanage batsmen.
Wells and Anton Howse constructed a
useful partnership of 60 but when both
fell within the space of 3 overs rhe
Swans had little left to offer. Only
David Haines with 22* provided any
resistance as S. White cleaned up the
Swanage tail claiming 3 wickets in his
final 2 overs. Opening bowlers Mark
Parsons and Ryan Norman got the Swans got
off to the ideal start, reducing Studland
to 13-3 within 3 overs. However, Swanage
were unable to capitalise, dropping
crucial catches as Phil Ricketts and Dave
Rodbourne put on 51 valuable runs for
Studland. Ricketts went on to make a
match winning 60* for Studland as they
triumphed by 3 wickets. For Swanage only
Seb Warner with a hostile spell of 9-0-3-40
made any impression. |
